The maximum total number of load-sharing aggregation groups and load-sharing service loopback
groups supported on an S7900E series Ethernet switch is 128. For more information about service
loopback groups, see Service Loopback Group Configuration in the Access Volume
After hardware resources become depleted, all new link aggregation groups operate in non-load
sharing mode. They will not perform load sharing even after resources become available again for
example after some aggregation groups are removed. To have them perform load sharing, you can
re-enable their corresponding aggregation interfaces by removing and then creating the interfaces.

Configuring an Aggregation Group

These ports cannot be assigned to a Layer 2 aggregation group: RRPP-enabled ports, MAC
address authentication-enabled ports, port security-enabled ports, IP source guard-enabled ports,
and 802.1X-enabled ports.
To achieve better load sharing results for data traffic among the member ports of a link aggregation
group, you are recommended to assign ports of the same type (such as all 100 Mbps ports or all
GE ports and so on) to the link aggregation group.
