3Com S7900E Series Ethernet Switches only support data bits 7 and 8. To establish the connection 

again, you need to modify the configuration of the termination emulation utility running on your PC 

accordingly. 

 

# Set the data bits to 7.

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
