Select Chooser from the Apple menu. The Chooser Window appears (fig. 5.1).

Select AdobePS in the left side of the window; then, select your printer in the
right side of the window and click Setup (fig. 5.1). The printer’s Installable
Options window appears (fig. 5.2).

Select the appropriate upgrade from the corresponding drop-down menu (fig.
5.2). For example if you installed the optional feeder and tray, select Installed
from the Optional Tray drop-down menu.

Click Ok. Then, close the Chooser window when it reappears (fig. 5.1).

Now, the PPD is configured for the new tray; the tray will be available through your
applications.

PC: Reconfiguring the PPD

If you add an upgrade after initial printer setup, use the following procedure to
update the PPD configuration. The optional feeder and tray upgrade is used as an
example for this procedure.

Select Start: Settings: Printers (Windows 95/98/Me) or select Start: Settings:
Printers and Faxes (Windows XP/2000/NT). The Printers window (Windows
95/98/Me) or Printers and Faxes window (Windows XP/2000/NT) appears (fig.
5.3).
