To prevent jams, make sure that the cassette’s lift plate is down, all media is the same
size, media guides fit against the media without making it buckle, and media does not
exceed the loading limit mark (fig. 1.25).

Set the media size dial to indicate the media size (fig. 1.26). Then, reinstall the
cassette cover making sure its side tabs fit into the cassette’s grooves (fig. 1.27).

Slide the standard cassette into the printer until it snaps into place (fig. 1.28).
If you load media larger than letter/A4, extend the output tray’s paper support (fig. 1.7).
Multipurpose Cassette
The printer’s standard multipurpose cassette holds up to 100 sheets of 17 lb (64 g/m

)
to 34 lb (128 g/m
2
) plain paper. It also supports the following media types to a stack
height of approximately .33" (8.5 mm).
