Energy Saver Mode

If the machine has not been operated for a certain period of time after printing,
or when you press and hold the 

{{{{Clear Modes/Energy Saver}}}} key for 3 seconds, the

panel display goes off and the machine enters Energy Saver mode. In Energy
Saver mode, the machine consumes less electricity. Press the 

{{{{Clear Modes/Energy

}}}} key again, and the machine will return to the ready condition. 

❒ By default, the time taken for the machine to shift to Energy Saver mode is 3

minutes.

❒ You can change the waiting time within a range of 1 to 120 minutes. See “6

Energy Saving”on p.72 “1 System”. 

❒ In the following cases, the machine will not shift automatically to Energy Sav-

er mode.
• If there is no ink
• If originals are or paper is jammed
• If the machine has not finished making masters or prints
• If the machine is printing the second page of a Combine print
• If there is no master
• If the master eject box is full
• If there is an original in the optional document feeder
• If the “cover open” indicator is lit
• If you are in the process of making changes to the user tools
• If the screen for entering a user code is displayed
