6. Install the Avaya P120
Standalone Manager
(optional)

The Avaya P120 Standalone Manager
allows you to configure and monitor the
Avaya P120 from your PC. The manager
is provided on a CD and comes with the
Avaya P120 switch.

System Requirements

Minimum hardware and Operating
System requirements are:
• Windows® 95 or NT® 4.0 or higher
• Pentium™ 200-Mhz-based, computer

with 64 Mb of RAM (Pentium-II rec-
ommended)

• Minimum screen resolution of

1024 x 768 pixels

• 24 Mb of free hard disk space.

Installation

To install the Avaya P120 Standalone
Manager:

We recommend that you close all
unnecessary applications currently
running on your PC

Insert the Avaya P120 Standalone
Manager CD in your PC’s CD Drive.

In Windows 95 or Windows NT, Click
“Start” on the taskbar and select “Run”.

Enter the path to the CD drive and
the filename setup.exe and click OK.

Follow the on-screen instructions to
install the Avaya P120 Manager.

Documentation and Online Help

The Standalone Manager CD comes with
a detailed User’s Guide including a
Glossary of Terms and an overview of
Data Communications concepts.
You can view the documentation without
installing the Standalone Manager.
