Paper Handling
The following section guides you through problems in handling
single sheets and continuous paper. If you are having problems
using the optional cut-sheet feeder, see the section on options
starting on 6-10.
Single sheets do not feed properly.

Printing starts too low on the page, or the bottom part
of one
page is printed at the top
of
the next page.
Be sure to choose the correct printer when you choose a
printer from your application program’s menu. See
Chapter 1.
If possible, specify single sheet paper with your application

Use your application software to reduce or eliminate the top
margin and to reduce the page length.

When you press the
AUTO LOAD
button, the platen does not
rotate and paper does not feed.
If the
ON LINE
light is on, press the
ON LINE
button once to
set the printer off line.

When you press the
AUTO LOAD
button, the platen rotates but
paper does not feed.
Check that the paper-release lever is pushed back to the
single-sheet position.
