The trend towards classic products in retro look
has now been captured by MINOX in a unique
special edition: the MINOX Aviator-Set.
Together with Lacher, the renowned watch-
makers, MINOX is presenting two products
which are both rich in tradition: the famous
Laco aviator's watch and the legendary MINOX
miniature camera. The two items originate
from the same period and are arranged side
by side in an exclusively designed wooden box.
Each a rarity to be admired.
Back in the early forties orders were placed
for Laco avaitor watches by the Reich's
Aviation Ministry, to provide the pilots with an
additional reliable piece of equipment. Along-
side Wempe, IWC und Lange & Söhne Glas-
hütte, Lacher was one of the few authorized
watchmakers capable of meeting the stringent
specifications set by the ministry  Today Lacher
has designed a true replica of the original
version for this jubilee
edition of the Laco
aviator's watch. This
watertight chrono-
meter has a screwed
stainless steel back
with mineral glass,
automatic clockwork
and a screw crown.
The MINOX miniature camera boasts superb
mechanical precision and optimal functiona-
lity, just like the Laco watch. Back in 1938 the
designer and inventor, Walter Zapp, created a
completely new camera from a total of 375
individual components. Small in size and spec-
tacular in design, the MINOX was certainly one
of the big inventions of the previous century.
The camera was continuously further developed
and the classic MINOX 8 x 11 became world
famous, also as the legendary spy camera.
Titanium-colored, sturdy operating controls
elegantly distinguish the subdued deep
black body of this brilliantly
manufactured MINOX LX. The
nostalgic MINOX lettering
and the hand engraved serial
number make the camera
an extremely exclusive item.
The fluorescent digits of the
watch face and the dials of
the camera are designed with a special lumi-
nous material and make the MINOX Aviator
Set suitable for use when it gets dark, which
means every moment with the Laco aviator's
watch and the MINOX camera is an experience
to be remembered.
The strictly limited special edition of 300
sets comes in an elegant black wooden box
with measuring chain, leather case, film and
battery.
