key, tap on User Points.

3. Tap on the right arrow next to DSC DIR Desktop icon two times to display USER CARD.
4. Tap on USER CARD. The USER SD CARD page appears.

Soft Key.

6. A Warning window appears to confirm you want to format the SD CARD.

7. Tap on

to confirm (or press the

key).

8. Tap on

to confirm.

2.12.2 TRANSFERRING FILES TO A USER SD CARD

1. Insert a User SD CARD into the slot.

2. Press the

key, tap on User Points.

3. Tap on the right arrow next to DSC DIR Desktop icon two times to display USER CARD.
4. Tap on USER CARD. The User SD CARD page appears.
5. Tap on the

Soft Key.

6. A popup SAVE FILE window appears. In this window you can change the name and the

file type tapping on it.

7. To save the file, tap on

in window. The Information window momentarily

shows SAVING, then shows SAVING...OK.

8. Tap on

to confirm.

2.12.3 LOADING A FILE FROM A USER SD CARD

If you have a problem and accidentally lose the User Points in the CPN Series Chart Plotter,
with a User SD CARD it is possible to load the data back into the CPN Series Chart Plotter.
Using the following procedure to load a file from the User SD CARD inserted in the slot:
1. Press the

key, tap on User Points.

2. Tap on the right arrow next to DSC DIR Desktop icon two times to display USER CARD.
3. Tap on USER CARD. The User SD CARD page appears.
4. Select the saved file from the User SD CARD list by tapping on it.

5. Tap on the

Soft Key. The Information window LOADING...OK appears when

loading is complete.

6. Tap on

to confirm.

2.12.4 DELETING A FILE FROM A USER SD CARD

You may want to delete a saved file on the User SD CARD inserted in the slot.
1. Press the

key, tap on User Points.

Soft Key. The Warning window appears to confirm you want to

delete the file.

to confirm.
