Advanced menu
The Advanced menu items allow you to change the settings for the CPU and other system 
devices.
Be cautious when changing the settings of the Advanced menu items. Incorrect field values 
can cause the system to malfunction.
2.6.1 
CPU Configuration
The items in this menu show the CPU‑related information that the BIOS automatically 
detects.
The items shown in submenu may be different due to the CPU you installed.
Hyper-threading [Enabled]
Allows a hyper‑threading processor to appear as two logical processors, allowing the 
operating system to schedule two threads or processes simultaneously. Configuration 
options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
Active Processor Cores [All]
This item allows you to select the number of CPU cores to activate in each processor 
package. Configuration options: [All] [1] [2] [3]
For some CPU types, only [All] and [1] appear.
Intel Virtualization Technology [Disabled]
When set to [Enabled], a VMM can utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by 
Vanderpool Technology. Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
Hardware Prefetcher [Enabled]
This item allows the CPU to prefetch commands and data in the L2 cache, reduces the 
DRAM loading time and improves the system performance. Configuration options: [Disabled] 
[Enabled]
