Chapter 3  MeetingPlace Web Concepts and Functions 
Once the host makes changes to a shared document, meeting 
participants can view these changes dynamically. For a more 
collaborative environment, the host can also enable the meeting 
participants to modify the shared document. Figure 3-1 displays 
individuals in a voice and web conference.

MeetingPlace Web includes a Java-based interface called 
MeetingPlace WebShare, which is displayed in the right-hand 
pane of the Meeting Room. Participants may also choose to 
participate in a web conference via a T.120 application, such as 
Microsoft NetMeeting, which comes bundled with many 
Microsoft products.  
These applications provide a common endpoint for MeetingPlace 
users. This enables them to view any document being shared by 
the host, regardless of whether they have the applications 
installed on their PC. For example, if the host shares a Excel 
spreadsheet and some of the users do not have Excel installed, 
they would still be able to view and modify the shared 
spreadsheet.
