Release Notes for Cisco Video Surveillance High
Definition IP Cameras, Release 2.6.0
First Published: July 20, 2015
These release notes provide important information for the Cisco Video Surveillance High Definition
IP camera, Release 2.6.0, which applies to the following Cisco IP camera models:
CIVS-IPC-3050—A ruggedized, outdoor, high-definition video endpoint with industry-leading
image quality and processing power. This vibration resistant camera is ideal for use in transportation
applications such as buses, trains, and other moving vehicles. The IK10- and IP66-rated housing
combined with a low profile also make this camera suitable for discreet placement in harsh
environments. Video can be streamed at a full 720p resolution at 30 frames per second (fps) while
optimizing network usage with either H.264 or MJPEG compression. With its open, standards-based
design, the camera provides an ideal platform for integration and operation as an independent device
or as part of a Cisco video surveillance network.
CIVS-IPC-7070—A 360 degree IP camera that provides excellent situational awareness from a very
small footprint. This 5 megapixel (MP) IP camera can function in complete darkness by utilizing
integrated IR illuminators built into the camera housing. It can capture a much more comprehensive
area than a standard VGA model, significantly reducing the number of units required. It is especially
suitable for monitoring wide open areas.
