This document describes how to reset an admin and security password in Cisco Finesse.

You cannot use Secure Shell (SSH) in order to log in to a system and execute commands on a sytem. In order
to log in to the system, you must use vSphere (in case of a Virtual Machine) to reach the console of the system
or you can log in directly into system (if it is installed on a Physical Machine).

Complete these steps in order to reset the admin and security password in Cisco Finesse:

In order to log in to the platform window, enter this user ID and password: "pwrecover/pwrest."

This message is displayed on the screen when the user ID and password is entered.

Note: In case of a Virtual Machine, connect the CD/DVD drive that directs it to an ISO image; in case
of a Real Server, insert a CD/DVD of an ISO image.

Once you have entered your user ID and password, press any key to continue.

Note: You must remove the CD/DVD from the disk drive.

Once you have removed the CD/DVD from the disk drive, press any key to continue.

Note: The system might verify that you have removed the CD/DVD from the disk drive.

Insert a valid CD/DVD into the disk drive.

Note: The system might verify that you have inserted the disk drive.

Once the system has verified that you have inserted the disk drive, it then prompts you to choose an
option in order to change the password.
