Configure Time Settings
Cisco IronPort AsyncOS allows you to use the Network Time Protocol (NTP) to
synchronize time with other servers on your network or the Internet, or to
manually set the system clock. You must also set the time zone on the Cisco
IronPort appliance so that timestamps in message headers and log files are correct.
You can also use the Cisco IronPort Systems time servers to synchronize the time
on your Cisco IronPort appliance.
Choose the Continent, Country, and Timezone and whether to use NTP including
the name of the NTP server to use.
Commit Changes
Finally, the System Setup Wizard will ask you to
commit
 the configuration
changes you have made throughout the procedure. Answer “Yes” if you want to
commit the changes.
When you have successfully completed the System Setup Wizard, the following
message will appear and you will be presented with the command prompt:
The Cisco IronPort appliance is now ready to send email.
Test the Configuration
To test the Cisco IronPort AsyncOS configuration, you can use the
mailconfig

command immediately to send a test email containing the system configuration
data you just created with the
systemsetup
 command:
Congratulations! System setup is complete. For advanced
configuration, please refer to the User Guide.
