Cisco Cisco Jabber Voice for Android

• Start Jabber when the Android OS Starts—You can configure the option to start Jabber when the

Android OS starts. For more information, see the Start_Client_On_Start_OS parameter from the Parameter
Reference Guide for Cisco Jabber.

• Customize Jabber Ringtone and Chat Notification Tone—Go to Settings and Sound to set Jabber

ringtone and chat notification tone.

• Sort Contacts—Go to Settings and Display to sort contacts by name or status.

• View Profile Picture—You can see a bigger avatar of your profile picture when you tap the avatar icon.

• WebEx Meeting Center Online Meeting Support—Jabber supports Cisco WebEx Meeting Center

online meetings. For information on how to configure Cisco WebEx Meetings Server, see the On-Premises
Deployment for Cisco Jabber.

• User Profile Settings—User profiles have call, chat, and email options. When you tap the call, or chat,

or email icon, you are directed to the appropriate application. For example, if you tap the call icon, then
Jabber calls that contact.

• Call Forwarding—Jabber supports call forwarding option. Go to Settings, Call, and Call forwarding

to set your call forwarding option.

• Incoming Call Interface—Jabber has new incoming call interface from this release.

• IM preview in Chat Window—When you are in a chat with Jabber user1, and you receive a chat

message from Jabber user2, you can preview the chat message received from Jabber user2 from the
existing chat window where you are chatting with the Jabber user1. You can also preview a group chat
message from the existing chat window. If you tap the IM preview popup, then that chat window opens.

• New Emoticons—There are ten new emoticons available in this release.

• Large Emoticons—When you send emoticons without text message, the emoticons appear three times

bigger than their usual size.

• View Images within Chat Window—Jabber supports sending .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, and .png images

while chatting. You can view the image in Jabber chat window. Touch and hold the image for more
options. The .gif images that are sent in chat automatically play and loop.

• Chat History—You can see the chat history when you open a chat window. The chat history is saved

and restored every time you sign in to Jabber. Ensure that you have enabled Save chat list option under
Settings and Display.

• Group Chat—The maximum number of participants that you can add to a group chat is 200. Jabber

displays a notification when you reach maximum number of participants.
