Introduction
This document explains how to install Cisco IOS® software onto "Run from Flash" Cisco routers using a
Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) server or Remote Copy Protocol (RCP) server application. The example
provided is based on the Cisco 1600 Series Router, but this is applicable to all platforms mentioned in the
Components Used section.
Note: The information in this document is based on Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1 and later.
