is announcing Cisco IOS

Software for the new Cisco Catalyst

2960 Series Switches with

LAN Lite Software. The Cisco Catalyst 2960 LAN Lite Switches are fixed-configuration standalone

devices that provide Fast Ethernet connectivity for entry-level small branch office and campus

wiring closet deployments. The Cisco Catalyst 2960 LAN Lite Switches reduce the network total

cost of ownership by simplifying network configuration and maintenance with scalable

management and troubleshooting.

This product bulletin describes the content and delivery information about Cisco IOS Software

Release 12.2(37)EY, which is the first Cisco IOS Software release that provides support for the

Cisco Catalyst 2960 LAN Lite Switches. Release 12.2(37)EY is an early deployment (ED) release

based on Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(37)SE. Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2(37)EY

should not be used for any switch other than the Cisco Catalyst 2960 LAN Lite Switches.

The platform and features delivered with this ED release will be incorporated into Cisco IOS

Software Release 12.2(44)SE and subsequent Cisco IOS Software 12.2SE releases. It is

important to note that there are no planned maintenance releases for this ED release. In addition,

please note the migration path to the latest 12.2SE release (Figure 1). Customers should prepare

to upgrade using this migration path.
