To specify that inventory events are sent out by the CNS inventory agent, use the transport event 
command in CNS inventory configuration mode. To disable the transport of inventory events, use the no 
form of this command.

This command has no arguments or keywords.

 CNS inventory configuration

Use this command to send out inventory requests with each CNS inventory agent message. When 
configured, the routing device will respond to queries from the CNS event bus. Online insertion and 
removal (OIR) events on the routing device will be reported to the CNS event bus.

The following example shows how to enable the CNS inventory agent and configure it to send out 
inventory events:

Router(config)# cns inventory

Router(cns_inv)# transport event

cns inventory
