Configuring Global Settings for Logging
The system periodically records system measurements within the Text Mail Logs and the Status Logs.
Use the Edit Settings button in the Global Settings section of the System Administration > Log
Subscriptions page (or the
logconfig -> setup
 command in the CLI) to configure:
System metrics frequency. This is the amount of time, in seconds, that the system waits between
recording measurements.
Whether to record the Message-ID headers.
Debug
Use the Debug log level when you are trying to discover the cause of an error.
Use this setting temporarily, and then return to the default level. This log level
is equivalent to the syslog level “Debug.”
Trace
The Trace log level is recommended only for developers. Using this level
causes a serious degradation of system performance and is not recommended.
This log level is equivalent to the syslog level “Debug.”
