Once the criteria has been selected, the utility will monitor and display every relative piece of information on 
the subscriber(s). 
For additional information on using the monitor utility, refer to the System Administration Guide. 

  Option Y for performing multi-call traces is only supported for use with the GGSN. This option is 

available when monitoring is performed using the “Next-Call” option. It allows you monitor up to 11 primary PDP 
contexts for a single subscriber. 

Subscriber monitoring is performed on a context-by-context-basis. Therefore, the information displayed will 
be only that which is collected within the system context from which the utility was executed. 

  Subscriber monitoring can be intrusive to subscriber sessions and could impact system performance; 

therefore, it should only be used as a troubleshooting tool. 

 

The following command enables monitoring for user 

. 

monitor subscriber username user1 

The following command will enable monitoring for the user assigned IP address 

. 

monitor subscriber ip-address 10.2.3.4
