Enter the following information on the Edit Properties window. 
The following fields are present for a directory that has been dragged in from 
the client file system: 
Group 
The group to which the object will be allocated 
In Carousel 
A checkbox indicating whether the object is in or 
out of the carousel. This is useful if you wish to 
exclude files or directories that have been imported 
as part of a directory sub-tree. Objects that have 
been excluded from the carousel are shown in blue. 
This field is not available for (Root), which is 
always included 
Source Directory 
The directory path on the client machine from 
which the content will be imported into the DSM-
CC file system 
Note:  This field is present for a directory that has 
been dragged in from the client file system. 
Default Group 
The default group for all objects in the content sub-
tree below the directory  
This field is present for a directory that has been 
dragged in from the client file system. 
The following fields are present for a file:
 
Source File 
The path of the file on the client machine from 
which the content will be imported. This field is 
read-only for a file that has been imported as part 
of a directory tree  
Note:  This field is present for a file. 
Dynamic Update  A checkbox to indicate that this file has been 
selected to receive rapid updates. A file selected for 
rapid update can be updated directly in the object 
carousel with very low latency. Rapid updates are 
useful for presenting time-critical information such 
as sports scores or stock prices. Files not selected 
for rapid update are updated during the next 
carousel rebuild 
Note:  This field is present for a file.
