MQAM Obsolescence Notice
Purpose
The D9477 multi-QAM modulator (MQAM) has reached the end of its product life
cycle. Our decision to discontinue sales of the MQAM is based upon the shortage
of component parts, as well as the ready availability of replacement options.
This bulletin announces the obsolescence plans for the MQAM and provides
This bulletin announces the obsolescence plans for the MQAM and provides
information on replacement alternatives, future orders, and ongoing hardware
and software support.
Order Status and Replacement Options
Certain components utilized in the MQAM are no longer available. Our engineers
recommend that system operators who currently use the MQAM migrate to the
Gigabit QAM modulator (GQAM). We have already initiated migration
discussions with many system operators who are affected by this obsolescence,
and will continue to accept orders until the supply of these components is
exhausted.
The following table provides detailed information on the replacement options.
