Cisco Cisco OptoStar II 1550nm Transmitter Guide De Montage
Introduction
Description
The OptoStar II optical switch module uses a standard 19-in OptoStar II chassis.
The flexibility of the platform is greatly improved by the fact that a single chassis
can hold both the optical switch module and other OptoStar II modules. 14 optical
switch modules can be placed in one standard 3 RU OptoStar II chassis. In many
modern optical systems, optical receivers and optical transmitters can be set up in
backup mode, with a main module and a backup module. In the OptoStar II
platform, the optical switch module can be used to control, switch, and backup
optical signal, in order to improve network reliability.
