Searching for Messages in the Cisco IronPort Spam Quarantine
Procedure
Step 1
On the Security Management appliance, choose Email > Message Quarantine > Spam Quarantine.

Click the Spam Quarantine link.
Step 3
On the search form, enter the dates to search. You can search messages from the current day or the past
week, or you can click the calendar icons to select a date range.

Optionally, specify a text string for the From address, To address, or message subject. Select whether the
search results contain, do not contain, match exactly, start with, or end with the value that you enter.

The envelope recipient is the address of the email message recipient as defined in the “RCPT TO” SMTP

Step 6
Click Search.
Messages that match the search criteria appear below the Search section of the page.
Searching Large Message Collections
If a large number of messages are stored in the Cisco IronPort Spam Quarantine and the search terms are
not narrowly defined, a query may take a long time to display the search results, or the query may time
out.

You are prompted to confirm whether you want to resubmit the search.
Note
Running multiple large searches simultaneously can adversely affect the performance of the appliance.
