ICM Technology Refresh Upgrade Tasks

Step 2

Join the domain.

Step 3

Install MS SQL Server 7.0 SP4 or SQL Server 2000 SP3a.

Step 4

Install IIS with Active Server Pages (ASP).

Step 5

Install Third Party Tools for WebView support.

Step 6

If custom templates exist:

Create a backup of the WebView database (wvdb) (ICM 5.0(0) only.)

\userdata directory:

–

On an ICM 5.0(0) system, it is empty.

–

On an ICM 4.6.2 system, it contains user created reports.

\aw\custom directory: contains the ICM 4.6.2 or ICM 5.0(0) custom
templates

Copy the following directories from the old system onto the new system
where WebView is installed.

–

icm\instancename\aw\custom for custom templates

–

icm\instancename\dis\web\userdata for saved reports (ICM 4,6,2 only)

Restore the ICM 5.0(0) wvdb to the new system using the MS SQL
backup/restore process.

Create a backup of the database.

Restore the ICM 4.6.2 or ICM 5.0(0) AW database (awdb) to the new system
using the MS SQL backup/restore process.

Step 7

Create the awdb and wvdb databases.

Open MS SQL Enterprise Manager on the new system.

Expand Microsoft SQL Servers and SQL Server Group.

Expand your current server name.

Highlight Databases.

Right-click and select New Database.

Enter the new database name and set the initial database size in MB.

Note

The size depends upon the size of the existing database on the old
hardware.
