Application Method 
·
Make sure that the center water feed sponge is wet OR spray water on the face of the disc.
·
Apply the disc to the appropriate hand pad.
·
Sand the defective area with small circular motions and with light to medium pressure.
·
Finish the defective area with lighter pressure.
Process Information
Damp sanding by hand. When damp sanding by hand make sure you have the recommended hand pad for the appropriate
disc size and specific application. Apply the disc. Spray the disc with a water mist from a spray bottle or soak the disc in a
trough or bucket of water. During sanding, use small, circular motions with light to medium pressure. Remove the damp
sanding residue when finished with a Scotch-Brite
High Performance Cloth – White, UPC #048011-26224.
Tech Tips
1.Don’t oversand. In general many defects only need to be leveled and not necessarily removed.
2.Finishing the defective area with lighter pressure blends the repair area better into the existing panel, 
providing a better finish in preparation for the next coating step.

Recommended Grades by Hand
– E-Coat that will be primed
P500 or 30µ
– Primer that will be painted
P600 or 20µ
– Basecoat/Clearcoat paint systems
P800 or 15µ
Tech Tip
Based on the paint system used these grades used by hand could possibly shift coarser or finer, 
but if not sure test the recommended grades first.
