Card is
unformatted
The memory
card needs to be
formatted.
Format the memory card
by using the
Format Card
option in the
Delete
menu.
This will delete all data on
the card.
Card has wrong
format
The memory
card is formatted
for a different
device such as
an MP3 player.
Re-format the card by
using the
Format Card
option in the
Delete
menu.
Unable to format
The memory
card is
corrupted.
Replace the memory card.
Card is locked
The locking tab
on the side of the
memory card is
in the locked
position.
Switch the locking tab to
the unlocked position or
insert a new card.
Charging Flash...
The camera is
recharging the
flash.
It takes longer to charge
the flash when the
batteries are low. If you
see this message a lot, you
may need to replace or
recharge the batteries.
Card full
There is
insufficient room
to save more
images on the
memory card.
Unload images from the
camera to your computer,
then delete all images on
the memory card. Or
replace the card with a
new one.
