SUBJECT:
ADDITION OF A HOLE
Reason :
To improve the ease of attaching and detaching the fixing unit.
Outline :
A hole is made on the frame (of the reader unit) from which a screwdriver can be
inserted. (See the photo below.)
There is a possibility that vapor from the fixing unit might come out of this hole, and it
makes the copyboard glass dirty, resulting in image failures. To prevent such an
adverse effect, the shape of the press down guide (FB6-0211) is changed.
Be sure to use the new press down guide (FB6-0211-020) for the new reader frame
to which the change is made. The new press down guide (FB6-0211-020) can be
used for the old reader frame to which the change is not made.
How to detach the fixing unit:
1. Displace the reader unit by 50mm and uncover the hole on the frame (of the
reader
inserted. (See the photo below.)

2. Insert a long screwdriver into the hole on the frame (of the reader unit).
3. Put your hand under the frame from the left side of the photo and engage the tip
