You need to convert the signal depending 
on a type of your TV when playing back the 
movie. The recorded movies are played 
back as following illustrations.

Select to view your movies on a 16:9 
(wide) TV.

Select to view your movies on a 4:3 
standard TV.

• When you play back the standard definition 

image quality (SD) movies recorded with 
[

WIDE REC] set to [ON], images may 

appear normal in vertical direction, but 
compressed in horizontal direction, depending 
on the TV.
