Convenience Features
Closed Captioning on Mute 

Available closed captions appear automatically when television sound
is muted. This allows the viewer to hear a phone call while still keep-
ing up with the dialog on screen.

Favorite Channel 

Up to nine channels may be selected and held in a separate memory
that can be quickly scanned on screen.

Universal Remote Control 

Operates Toshiba televisions, plus most brands of VCR and cable

This dark tint tube reduces reflected light, increases contrast and
delivers a wider viewing area compared to conventional direct view
tube designs.

3-Line Digital Comb Filter with Vertical Contour Correction

Eliminates video noise such as dot crawl and color blooming by pro-
cessing three consecutive lines of video information, and delivers
sharp clear video images.

Black Level Expander 

Increased black level provides richer blacks and greater contrast.

Color Temperature Control 

Allows the user to set the preferred white balance for viewing in any
level or type of room light from cool blue to warm red.

Invar Shadow Mask 

This nickel iron alloy mask reduces thermal expansion, which results
in picture distortion and discoloration compared to conventional iron
masks. The result is a sharper picture with less picture distortion and
discoloration even during prolonged use.
