■ Switching the screen size (INPUT1 / INPUT2)

Displays image so it fills the 
screen vertically, while 
maintaining the original 
aspect ratio.

Displays image so it fills the 
entire screen.

Use this size if ZOOM1 
cuts off the subtitles.

Displays edge portion of 
the image which is normally 
cut off.

Detects the resolution of 
the signal and displays an 
image with the same 
number of pixels on the 
screen. (See page 56.)

■ Switching the screen size (INPUT3 / INPUT4)

The desired screen size can be selected to suit the input signal.

For 4:3 “Standard” pictures. 
A side bar appears on each 
side.

In this mode the image is 
progressively stretched 
toward each side of the 
screen.

Use this size if ZOOM1 
cuts off the subtitles.

Displays edge portion of 
the image which is normally 
cut off.

Detects the resolution of 
the signal and displays an 
image with the same 
number of pixels on the 
screen.
