Topping off engine oil

1. The on-board computer indicates how much oil 

must be added. 

2. Switch off the engine.
3. Open the twist grip A, open the cap of the 

oilfiller opening and remove.

4. Add at most half a liter of engine oil at a time.

5. Close the oil filler cap carefully. 

6. Measure oil level with the on-board computer 

again. 

Observe the conditions for measuring the oil 

level

7. Add more engine oil if necessary.

to reach the max. mark. 

8. Close the oil filler cap carefully. 

Make sure that the cap is completely closed.

Engine Oil Recommendation

Recommended oil viscosity ranges dependent on 

ambient temperatures

Above 14°F/–10°C
SAE 0W - 40, 5W - 40 and higher.

Below 14°F/–10°C
SAE 0W - 40, 5W - 40.
