Manual control
When the ignition is on, the rear wing can be ex-
tended and retracted manually using the button A
in the center console.
Extension
f Press upper half of the button briefly.
The rear wing extends to its final position.
Retraction
f Press and hold lower half of the button until the
rear wing has reached its final position.
Automatic control
The rear wing extends at approx. 75 mph/
120 km/h and retracts at approx. 50 mph/
80 km/h.
If high engine power is used over longer periods
of time, the retraction of the rear wing is
suppressed, so that when the car is driven in a
sporty manner, the rear wing is not constantly
extending and retracting.
When the vehicle is driven at moderates speeds
afterwards, the rear wing can remain extended for
up to 15 minutes, even after the vehicle is
parked.
If the vehicle is driven with even lower demands on
the engine, the rear wing will retract and extend
dependent on the speed.
If automatic control fails, the warning light illumi-
nates. The rear wing must be extended manually
by pressing button A when the vehicle is
stationary.
The warning light in the instrument panel lights up
for a lamp check when the ignition is switched on.
The warning lights on the instrument panel and in
the on-board computer come on if the rear wing
does not extend or does not reach its final position
at more than 75 mph/120  km.
