Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, 
these basic safety precautions are 
very important and should always 
be followed including the following.
Matters that are assumed by 
handling the appliance wrongly are 
divided into ″Warning″ and 
″Caution″.

possibilities for men to be inflicted 
bodily or to have material damege.

This symbol stands for danger, warning, caution.  There is a concrete indication 
for caution in or near the figure (left figure
:caution for high temperature).
This symbol stands for prohibition that must not to be done. There is a 
concrete indication for prohibition in or near the figure (left figure
: prohibition 
against dismantle).
This symbol stands for compulsion that must to be done.  There is a concrete 
indication for compulsion  in or near the figure (left figure
: must unplug from the 
outlet).
Warning
Do not remodel the appliance and do not dismantle 
and repair it.  Repairs may only be carried out by 
Philips or a service center authorised by Philips in 
order to avoid hazardous situations, fire, electric 
shock ,or injury.
Make sure to use 15A or greater electrical 
outlet on its own.  Do not use it with another 
instrument.  They will cause fire because the 
outlet may get extremely hot.
Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord 
or plug, or with loose insert into the outlet by 
malfunctions.  They will cause electric shock, a short 
circuit, or fire..
Only use the appliance with AC100 volts. Otherwise, 
it will cause fire, electric shock.
Only use exclusive  AC100 outlet as power sources.

Remove the plug from the outlet by gripping plug 
body, not touching the cord, and pulling it from the 
outlet.  Otherwise, it will cause electric shock, short 
circuit, and fire.

Make sure to unplug from the outlet when the 
appliance is not in use.  Otherwise, it will cause 
injury, scalds, and electric shock, or fire caused by a 
short circuit.

Do not damage, bend, yank, twist, bundle the cord. 
Do not move the cord to heated surfaces, put 
heavy things on it
、get it caught and replace it. 
They will damage the cord, and cause fire, electric

Keep the appliance out of the reach of children 
and never let the appliance operate unattended.  
Otherwise, it will cause scalds,  electric shock, or
injury.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or other 
liquid.  They will cause a short circuit and 
electrical shock. 
Caution
Hot steam or hot water could burn your fingers. 
Do not touch hot parts and steam. They may cause
scalds.  Especially, never let children touch it. 
Do not touch hot parts during and after use for a 
while.  They may cause scalds.
Operate the appliance on a flat, stable surface. 
Do not use it on flammable materials.
Do not operate the appliance near wall and 
furniture.  They may cause damage to wall and 
furniture by stea
m or heat, and result in 
discoloration and transformation.
Allow to cool the appliance before cleaning.  
Otherwise, it may cause scalds by touching hot 
parts.
