“Advanced” Dialog Box
Functions of the “Advanced” Dialog Box 
The “Advanced” dialog box allows you to make advanced printer settings. 
It can be opened by clicking the 
ADVANCED
 button in the “Setup” dialog 
box.

Duplex Print

Select the desired duplex print mode. The selected 
duplex print mode is indicated by an icon.
Does not perform duplex printing
Prints on both sides of each page so that the printed 
pages can be bound along the long edge.
Prints on both sides of each page so that the printed 
pages can be bound along the short edge.

Booklet:

Zoom:
Allows you to select the desired page layout (N-Up, 
Booklet, Zoom) when printing more than one page of 
data on a single page.
Prints each page on a single sheet of paper in its 
original size. (Page layouts such as N-up, Booklet and 
Zoom are not selected.)
Prints more than one page on a single sheet of paper 
(2-Up, 4-Up). The desired page layout can be selected 
in the “N-up” dialog box.
Prints four pages on both sides of a sheet of paper so 
that the printed pages can form a booklet when they are 
folded at the center. The size of paper to be used can 
be selected in the “Booklet” dialog box.
“Booklet” can be selected only when “Bind Short Edge” 
is selected for “Duplex Print”.
Select enlargement or reduction printing. The 
magnification ratio can be selected in the “Zoom” dialog 
box.
The “N-up”, “Booklet” and “Zoom” dialog boxes can be opened by clicking the “Style” 
button and differ according to the selected function. For a detailed description, see 
pages 9-12 and 9-13.
If the original document for a print job contains a page with a different size or direction 
and this document is printed, a part of the image may not be printed or images may 
overlap.
