•  The SmbDie attack involves an attempt to establish an SMB connection; 
if the attack is successful, a special packet overflowing the machine buffer 
is delivered to an attacked machine. As a result the user will have to re-
start the operating system. Windows 2k/XP/NT operating systems are 
susceptible to this kind of attack. 
•  The Lovesan attack attacks a vulnerability in the DCOM RPC service of 
Windows NT 4.0/NT 4.0 Terminal Services Edition/2000/XP/Server (tm) 
2003 operating systems of your computer. When the vulnerability is de-
tected, the worm, which includes malware allowing the sender to perform 
any desired manipulations on your computer, is downloaded to the victim 
machine.
