RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT PRODUCTS FOR NM-4T1-IMA AND NM-4E1-IMA
The recommended replacement product is the Advanced Integration Module for ATM (AIM-ATM) together with the T1/E1 Voice WAN
Interface Cards (VWICs). A single AIM-ATM module supports up to 4 T1/E1 ports. In platforms with two AIM slots, two
AIM-ATM modules can be used. T1/E1 VWICs are available with a density of 1 or 2 ports.
The AIM-ATM allows flexible configuration of ATM ports. Depending on the requirements, between one and four ports can be used per AIM-
ATM. The AIM-ATM has improved features and functionality, and similar performance levels to the NM-4T1-IMA and
NM-4E1-IMA. In addition, the AIM-ATM solution together with VWICs does not require a Network Module (NM) slot, which can be used for
other advanced services.
