Centra-Pod Installation:
1)
The poly-fil included in the pod should be fluffed up prior to installing the speakers for the best sound.  Make sure there’s no
debris in the pod, as it could compromise sound quality.
2)
Armor-All® or equivalent can help give the pod a darker black, glossy look.
3)
Check placement of pod and cut a small slit in the carpet behind the pod for the wires to run up to the grommet hole located on
the rear-center of the pod.
4)
You may have to cut the speaker holes larger for certain speakers if you purchased the pod empty.
5)
If you’re using an amplifier, you probably know how you want to run the speakers.  If you’re not, it’s suggested that you tap
into the dash speakers to run the pod.  Your fader control will then adjust the dash and pod at the same time.
6)
The pod speakers will be marked +/- but the dash wires can be confusing.  Usually the darker wire with the stripe is the ground
wire.  You can attach one of the dash speaker wires to the positive terminal on a 9 volt battery.  If the speaker cone pushes
outward, you have the positive speaker wire.
7)
Make sure to plug the remaining air space around the wires at the grommet hole with wax, glue gun, etc. to avoid any
‘whistling noise’ caused by allowing air to escape from inside the pod.
8)
Included are two self-tapping hex screws.  Using a 5/16” hex bit, run the screws through the bottom of the pod, through the
carpet and into the floor of the vehicle and then screw the speakers in place.  (There are no pre-drilled holes in the base of the
pod due to individual vehicle needs/placement of the screws).  One screw behind each speaker is best.
