Using the Auto and Manual Photography Modes
The digital camera offers two photography modes: Auto
 and Manual
.
Auto Photo Mode is the simplest to operate and is recommended for beginners. Pho-
tos in Auto mode are captured by pressing the shutter button and letting the digital cam-
era adjust settings to match lighting conditions, focus range, and other environmental
factors automatically.
Manual Photo Mode allows users to manually adjust camera settings such as expo-
sure and white balance, allowing skilled users to fi ne-tune settings to suit conditions,
and to achieve a variety of special photographic effects.
If an SD card is not inserted in the camera, photos are stored on the camera’s internal
memory. When an SD card is inserted, the camera reads and writes to the SD card, not
to the internal memory.  Remove the SD card to access the camera’s internal memory.
Using the Mode Dial
Turn the mode dial at the top of the camera to change the camera’s working mode at
any time.
Align the desired
mode with the cam-
era mode indicator
(red dot) next to the
Mode Dial.
When selecting
a mode, the LCD
briefl y displays a
blue screen indicat-
ing which mode the
camera is in.
