Operating times
The operating times depend on the
operating conditions:
If the phone is exposed to heat the
standby time is considerably re-
duced. Avoid exposing the phone to
direct sunlight or placing it on a radi-
ator.
Outside the home network
If you are outside your "home net-
work" your phone automatically se-
lects a different GSM network
Own numbers
You can enter your "own numbers"
in the Phonebook (e.g. fax) for infor-
mation. These numbers can be
changed or deleted and also sent as
an SMS.
Phone number memo
If you enter a number with the key-
pad during a call, the person on the
other end of the line can hear the
numbers being entered. It can be
stored or dialed after the current call
has ended.

can be dialed (press

be stored in the Phonebook (p. 24).
URLs (Internet addresses) and the
HTTP download (optional) can be ac-
cessed directly (press

A
). Check
your WAP (p. 38) and HTTP settings
(optional) (p. 38)!
Quality declaration for battery
The capacity of your mobile phone
battery is reduced each time you
charge/discharge it. Storing the bat-
tery at temperatures that are too
high or too low also causes a gradual
loss of capacity. This can cause the
operating times of your mobile
phone to reduce significantly per us-
age cycle.
The battery is, however, designed to
be charged and fully discharged
within a period of six months from
when the mobile phone was pur-
chased. Following this six-month pe-
riod, we recommend replacing your
battery if you experience a signifi-
cant drop in performance. Only pur-
chase original Siemens batteries.
