Using Your Phone

The input mode icons (names) that may appear at the bottom of the
the screen represent the following input modes:

iTap analyzes letters as they being inputted, making intelligent
predictions about the words you are attempting to enter, and speeding

up text entry.  Press 

 to switch to uppercase or lowercase letters.  

 iTap (predictive input mode).

Letter input mode.

Numeric input mode.

To set the default input mode to the one you most frequently use,
choose the menu Settings > Default Input. See page 151.

When the display shows the editing screen, you
will be able to see the name of the current text
input mode in the upper right corner of the
screen.

Press 

 to change the input mode.  Press

 to switch to uppercase or lowercase

letters.  press 

 to open the symbols table.
