Networking your computer

Determining IP address settings
To access a network, your V5 must have a network IP address. The IP address
is either assigned manually (a static IP address), or it is assigned automatically
by a DHCP router or server. If you already have a home network, you can
check a computer on your network to determine if it is assigned an IP address
automatically or manually.

1. Click start | Run.
2. Type cmd and click OK.
3. At the command prompt, type ipconfig /all.
4. Look for the line DHCP Enabled (you may have to scroll up to see it).
