provided in this section. 

The serial ports in the NetCom Devices follow the specifications of 
RS 232. It is also possible to use the serial port in RS 422 or RS 485 
mode. This is defined by a set of DIP-switches or by software. Here is a 
list of the available modes and the switch settings. 
Warning: a bad configuration may cause serious damage in the 
NetCom or the connected device.
