Rockwell Collins, Inc. does not supply an instruction book with the DME-4000
transceiver. The transceiver is supplied to airframe manufacturers and airlines, and is
designed to meet the requirements of ARINC 709-8. Operating instructions are not
necessary because the unit is part of a larger Navigation system used by trained pilots.
Rockwell Collins does produce the DME-4000 Component Maintenance Manual, a
comprehensive installation manual which, pursuant to an agreement with the FCC staff,
is available upon request but is not included in this electronic exhibit.
