covering it with a blanket or something similar. Warming the site is effective, especially 
for a patient with a small pulse amplitude.

•  When monitoring a patient who has an IABP and SpO

 cannot be measured, monitor 

the patient on a wired monitor. If the monitor has a sensitivity mode, set the mode to 
“MAX”.
