SMC’s new EZ Switch™ 10/100, feature 8, 16 or 24 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX
ports. Their outstanding performance and reliability make these plug-
and-play switches an ideal choice for integrating Fast Ethernet and
boosting LAN bandwidth for small to medium-sized workgroups. All EZ
Switch 10/100 models are fully compatible with existing Ethernet and
Fast Ethernet networks, thus saving your current network investment.
Each switch port delivers dedicated 10 or 100 Mbps links to each
attached LAN segment, with Auto-Negotiation selecting the optimal
transmission speed and communication mode. They also include a
comprehensive array of LED indicators for monitoring regular activity
and easy troubleshooting.
These Fast Ethernet switches are potent enough to stand alone as a
departmental collapsed backbone, supporting Fast Ethernet hubs,
servers and power users, as well as legacy Ethernet LAN segments.
What is more, they employ a buffered “store-and-forward” design
that prevents bad packets from propagating throughout the network.
Half- and full-duplex flow control ensures that maximum data
integrity is always maintained, even under heavy loading.
