Note: The "!" commands are used to change certain fundamental configuration parameters which are changed
very infrequently - often, only once at installation. Using these "!" commands during normal operation with the
telephone line connected to the Terminal Adapter (TA) can cause unpredictable results. It is best to issue the "!"
commands when the TA is not connected to the ISDN network to avoid confusion between the TA and ISDN
network. The recommended procedure for using the "!" commands is as follows:(1) Disconnect the ISDN phone
line from the TA. (2) Issue the "!" commands to set the correct value for the "!" command related parameters.(3)
Issue the AT&Wn" command to store the parameters changed during step (2) in the user profile ".(4) Reconnect
the ISDN phone line.(5) Reset or reboot the ISDN sub-system with the updated configuration parameters.
