The DDS-Gen5 tape drive is the 5th generation of tried-and-
tested DDS tape technology. Like its predecessors, it offers a 
reliable, low-cost data backup solution for small to medium-
sized servers. The drive stores 72 GB of data in 3.5 hours 
(compressed), making it an ideal solution for applications with 
large storage capacity requirements.  
 
The DDS-Gen5 tape drive offers transfer rates of 6 MB/s at a 
compression of 2:1.  
 
The capacity of 72 GB on one tape means lower tape 
consumption, less user intervention, simpler tape
