Intelligent Giga Business Switches

Buffalo Technology’s new Intelligent Giga Business Switches (BS-G21M series) 

for small, medium, and large businesses bring Japanese know-how to Layer 2 

Giga Switches and offer fl exible and scalable managed Business Switch solutions 

that enable better-than-ever network monitoring and confi guring capabilities.

And, with a Buffalo Business Switch in place, network administrators can rest 

assured with Buffalo’s Loop Guard warning system. A loop occurs if there is more 

than one path between two endpoints – possible causes are multiple connections 

between two network switches, or, two ports on the same switch connected to 

each other. With Buffalo’s new Business Switches the offending port from which 

the loop originates is immediately shut down and the switch gives both a buzzer 

and LED alert. In the past administrators might spend a considerable amount 

of time detecting and locating such a problem, but with Buffalo’s new business 

switches detection and location are just a blinking light and buzzing buzz away.

Buffalo’s Intelligent Giga Business Switches are fan-less and ready for fl exible 

placement options: the 8 and 16 port versions come in a small chassis for 

installation options a wall, desk, or rack; and the 24 port version is desk 

or rack mountable. They all have advanced features including VLAN, Web 

authentication, MAC authentication, in addition to many more; and with 

USB fl ash memory settings are saved – and available – if needed.
