The 3Com

®

Open Services Module (OSM) provides a highly flexible and

cost-effective method of deploying applications and services directly
into the network infrastructure. The module allows for a wide range
of applications to be installed, delivering new services that can enrich
business operations and opportunities. The powerful, flexible design of
the OSM extends the capabilities of the 3Com router family, delivering
unprecedented functionality and reduced cost of ownership.

The OSM uses a secure version of industry-standard Linux, enabling
it to support a very wide range of applications and services, including
3Com and third-party applications and those developed in the open
source community. A Software Development Kit (SDK), which provides
all the tools and documentation needed to develop additional applications
for use on the module, is also available.

sources including 3Com, third-party and open source community
